Shot on film on a Greek island by Amanda Gylling. A “self-portrait”, Amanda saw the picture in her head but did not have access to anyone other than herself. The motif plays with shapes, something that is significant to Amanda’s style.
This motif was shot on film, therefore grain is present. Grain lies in the nature of film photography. It’s an element of the photograph, contributing to the feeling the photographer sought to create by choosing to shoot analogue.
Amanda Gylling is a Stockholm-based photographer who describes her style as playful and personal. Read more about Amanda here.
